pumpkin please

GetAttachment[6]Tomorrow, the grandgirlies are coming, the grandgirlies are coming!  I am looking forward to a hearty breakfast.  Someone has to be ready to take pictures of girls jumping on the bed and  be ready with the orange pipe cleaners for our craft time!

Tomorrow my breakfast is already in the works…..1.  recipe ready ……….2.  ingredients are ready…………3. sleep quick, then get up to some warm goodness…..

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal  (for one)  (Thank you http://kriscarr.com/recipe/pumpkin-pie-oatmeal/  Kris Carr has helped me more than I can ever, ever repay.  She is one smart cookie. You can be a smart cookie too, check out her site. )  Then we will have oodles of more smart cookies dancing around!

1/2 cup oats (gluten-free works great) , 1/2 cup mashed pumpkin, 1/2 cup coconut milk & 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and 2 Tablespoons maple syrup    Mix in sauce pan.  Cook as usual.

If you don’t want to do the whole pumpkin oatmeal thing………….try your own version of PSL.  Pumpkin Spice Latte (for one)  two shots of fresh brewed espresso (hey, Grandma’s need espresso to be at their happiest), your perfect amount of coconut creamer, a couple shakes of pumpkin pie spice and a big ol Tablespoon (yes, that is a measurement) of Maple Syrup.   Whip with a little mini immersion blender.20131004_170848Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” George Eliot
